yesterday i missed out on what i heard was an amazing day at the beach.
i went to countys for cross country, there was a shit load of teams
there.
i was hoping to do a low 19 or high 18, i got an 18:58. that pretty
good for a first year runner. the race sucked. there were too many kids
on the start of the race, i was held back a little cuz everyon was
running within 3 inches of eachother. I started passign people on the
first mile. i remember being stuck behind some kid with green and red
shoes, but after the 2nd mile, i passed him like nothing. at the end of
the 3rd mile, i got in front of the mc arthur kid who is "pretty good"
from what people say. i was happy with my results. i think i could have
done better if i hadnt drank so much over the weekend.
the girls did good, they took 10th over all, the boys should have done
a lot better, we took 11th.
coach said that the course we ran was a slow one cuz it was all sand,
with grass over, and it was wet and muddy as fuck. running throught the
mud was the worst, it made your feet feel 5 lbs heavier, and made you
slip a little. so hopefully, at a good course, i will run a low 18 or
high 17. im pretty confindent i can bring down my time.
after that, the xc kids went to the game, where we won, again, 14-0,
even though we played like shit. so today is saturday and i want to go
to the beach, but everyone is doing something =\
hopefully ill find someone to go with.
